Friday-Morrissey Time

What a change these last twenty years. If nothing else the hard men in the Middle East have been replaced by stone age nutters in the so-called 'Arab Spring'. The western nations, and soppy politicos who actually believed despots would be replaced by liberal democrats, colluded to endanger us all and we are now seeing the consequences with Islamist nutters kicking off all over the region.

I rather imagine lots of people wanted Morrissey to put his arm around them.

Although they'd probably tell everyone...

Interesting how despite all the success he'd achieved by that age the shy, awkward 'no I couldn't possibly ask you out - the rejection would kill me' aspect never quite went away.

That was a massive part of his appeal, that he wrote songs without happy endings, that real people with real emotions and fragilities could relate to.
